James Andra Faria

Hi, my name is James Faria. I study graphic design at Tarrant County College and I plan on graduating in the spring of 2026. Over the years, I’ve studied fine art and graphics at a handful of different schools and programs including El Camino Community college and the Art institute of Fort Worth. I’ve worked a variety of different jobs such as a fry cook for Chick fil A (4 yrs) and a truck loader for UPS (3+yrs) and always with good standing. Today, I’m still pursuing a creative career, particularly in the digital field but also as a fine artist using mixed mediums such as pencil (color/graphite), pastel, paint, wood, etc. Back in high school I was a particularly high achiever, earning a number of awards in extra curriculars such as marching band and fine art. Around this time I was also heavily involved with my church helping to facilitate and create props for our annual fundraisers. A few years ago, for a family Halloween event I designed and built a realistic 30ft ragdoll spider out of canvas, old clothes, and stuffing. Nowadays my focus has shifted primarily towards digital graphics. I am especially proficient at Photoshop and Illustrator but I also have InDesign knowledge and a growing interest in web development. I have a variety of digital samples on file but I am still relatively new to design industry. However, with that being said, I am generally a hard worker and I always try to leave a company in a better condition than when I found it. Creativity and sheer determination are my notable strengths. When I set my mind on something I make sure it gets done.
